MODERN FARMHOUSE RENOVATION – Paradise, DARDANUP
Julie and Ian purchased a new home located on beautiful farmland in the south-west of Western Australia in a town rightly named Paradise. A contemporary home only 10 years old, it was lacking in character and out of place in this rural setting. My clients needed a true farmhouse – an authentic place they could fill with their stories on the land and a welcoming nest for their family.

Firstly, we reconfigured the central layout to an open plan with improved flow and open views. Next we breathed character in by revitalising all the key spaces starting with a kitchen makeover and built in cabinetry in nature’s tones, timber flooring, feature farmhouse lighting and timber beams to an overlooked raked ceiling. An essential change was the transforming the front entry – your first introduction to the home. To create a unique look and feel, Julie and I worked closely together for over a year to select a range of furnishings, many of them custom made, to express her Modern Farmhouse style with vintage accents throughout, creating a timeless lived-in feel.
What home-owners Julie and Ian had to say about the project
“Thank you Linda! Although I had a good idea of what I would like restyling my home I really had no clear pathway to get there… Linda has helped create a beautiful home for my husband and myself plus our family to enjoy. Her absolute attention to detail and feel for the big picture including outdoors, has allowed us to progress in the right direction. Highly recommended!”
